About Us

Welcome to the official page of Yerranna Jawan Mitra, a heartfelt initiative launched in memory of my late father, Shri Yerram Naidu Kinjarapu, former Central Minister, by me, Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Member of Parliament for Srikakulam and the Civil Aviation Minister of India. Yerranna Jawan Mitra is dedicated to the welfare and well-being of the jawans (soldiers) and their families in Srikakulam, honouring their selfless service and unwavering dedication to our nation.

On the solemn occasion of Shri Yerram Naidu Garu's death anniversary, November 2, we are pleased to announce a community event under the Yerranna Jawan Mitra program – a 5K Run on December 7, observed nationwide as Army Flag Day. This annual event brings together civilians and armed forces members in a shared effort to raise funds and awareness for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families, especially those impacted by disability or loss in the line of duty.

Army Flag Day, celebrated on December 7, is a day set aside to honour India’s Armed Forces personnel and to show gratitude for their sacrifices. On this day, funds are raised through events like the 5K Run, contributing to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF). This fund is instrumental in supporting the rehabilitation, healthcare, and education of war widows, dependents, and veterans, enhancing their quality of life and expressing our nation's deep respect.

By fostering a bond of gratitude and solidarity between the civilian population and the armed forces, Yerranna Jawan Mitra celebrates Srikakulam’s proud tradition of service to the military. We invite you to join us on this journey, to run for a cause, and to honour the legacy of service that unites us all. Together, we can make a difference.
